The Latin designations - Summa Cum Laude, Magna Cum Laude, and Cum Laude - will be used for identifying honor graduates.

The graduating seniors having cumulative quality point averages between 3.95 and 4.00 will be designated "Summa Cum Laude." Graduating seniors having a cumulative quality point average between 3.75 and 3.94 will be designated "Magna Cum Laude." Graduating seniors having cumulative quality point average between 3.50 and 3.74 will be designated as "Cum Laude."

Honors for the graduation ceremony will be awarded as of the last previous semester, while honors for transcript and diploma will be as of the end of the final semester. Forty-eight credits must be completed at Bloomsburg University in order to be considered for academic honors at commencement.
