Tutoring

BU offers a wide variety of support services for students, which include:

Writing Center

The Writing Center enter offers one-on-one, drop-in consulting sessions to students of all disciplines. Consultants help students with cover letters, resumes, presentations, and Web sites. No appointments are needed.

TRiO Student Support Services

TRiO offers tutoring, advisement, guidance and support specific to students' unique learning and personal needs. TRiO assists eligible students with:

academic assistance through master tutors in English/writing, study skills, math, sciences, social sciences and more ...
individual confidential counseling for personal concerns, financial issues, etc.
special access to cultural activities in the region
personalized academic advising for undeclared students

Tutoring

University Tutorial Services offers tutoring in a variety of courses provided by students who have distinguished themselves by superior academic performance. Tutoring is provided free upon request by application.

Developmental Instruction

Provides academic advisement, instruction, tutoring and other support to assist students in academics and maximize their potential for success in college, especially students entering through Act 101/EOP.

Academic Advisement

Handles all changes of degree programs and services as the adviser for all undeclared students and adult students through its non-degree and adult student office. It also helps with advisement problems and issues.

Accommodative Services

Offers a range of activities designed to support and enhance the performance of students with disabilities.

Services include but not limited to:
• provision of accommodative testing
• note takers
• scribes
• interpreters
• readers
• auxiliary aides
• adaptive equipment
• liaison for classroom accommodations
