Computer Science at Bloomsburg

The department of Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics offers an accrededited Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. The curriculum is broadly based in core areas of computer science, with a strong concentration on the design, analysis, and production of complex and reliable software systems. Students also obtain a basic understanding of computer hardware and its principles, particularly as it influences software. Graduates enjoy exceptional placement in software engineering, systems and database administration, networking, computer graphics, game development, and teaching.

The traditional track for minors begins with the first three courses for majors and concludes with three computer science electives. The web development track focuses on the design and implementation of websites and provides a basic background in networking.
