Cars, parking at Bloomsburg
Bloomsburg University students are permitted to bring cars to campus. All vehicles must be registered with university police and parking is tightly regulated. Parking violations are ticketed at a rate of $15 per hour.
Parking arrangements include:
- Freshmen living in residence halls may store personal vehicles in an upper-campus lot for $75 per semester. There are regular shuttle bus runs to and from that facility.
- Students commuting from outside a defined area may obtain commuter student parking identification and park in several commuter lots.
- Upperclassmen living in residence halls may park in a lot just off campus for about $75 per semester. It's an easy walk from dorms.
- Students living in upper campus apartments have dedicated parking, and the fee is included in rent.
- Students who live off campus generally have parking facilities at the apartment, and can use shuttle bus service from town to campus and back.
Short-term metered parking is located at Andruss Library, the Student Rec Center and Scranton Commons.
Visitors may park in assigned spaces by special one-day permit only. Permits can be obtained from University Police, at the Buckingham Maintenance Center, or Admissions.
