Hi, my name is Maramonne Houseknecht, and I am an Assistant Director of Admissions. I look forward to working with you throughout your college search and helping you determine whether or not Bloomsburg University is the place for you. Favorite BU Activity: Dance ensemble show and football games!

Hobbies/Interests: Reading and spending time with my family.

Hometown: I was born in Ft. Lewis, WA, but lived in many states because my father was in the military.

Why I came to Bloomsburg: I was looking for a different college to continue my career in higher education, and Bloomsburg provided me with a great opportunity. I love working with the students, faculty and staff. I am always amazed at how dedicated our faculty and staff are to providing the best educational/social experience for our students.

Educational background: B.A. in International Business from Niagara University in Niagara Falls, NY. Class of 1998.

Recruitment area: Wilkes-Barre and Scranton and the surrounding areas; northern PA tier (places like Sayre, Athens, Towanda, Wyalusing, Troy, Sullivan County, Canton).
