Open house programs
Scheduled open house days for the Fall 2009 semester are filled. You can attend one of our presentations and tours we offer on most Saturdays throughout the fall semester. Please call at (570) 389-2879 to register.
Space at each open house is limited to the first 650 prospective students who register. Download a campus map with directions to the open house program
Visiting Bloomsburg
If you're unable to attend an open house program, you're still welcome to visit Monday through Friday, as well as most Saturdays in the fall. You can meet an admissions counselor in a group setting, get a tour of campus, and meet with various support services.
Call (570) 389-4316 to schedule a date. We'll send you information and a one-day parking permit by regular mail. Contact us between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Because these sessions are limited in size and can fill so rapidly, we regret that we cannot schedule visits via e-mail.
The general format of the day:
9:30 to 10 a.m. - Check-in/refreshments at Haas Center for the Arts.
10 to 10:30 a.m. - General information of what BU looks for in applicants and how to apply.
10:30 to 11:30 a.m. - Tour of campus.
11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. - Lunch
1 to 3 p.m. - Academic presentations. Representatives from all academic majors will be on hand to answer questions. Locations will be provided upon arrival. There's enough time to visit at least two programs throughout the day:
- Opportunity for personal meetings with admissions counselors.
- Opportunity to visit student recreation center, upper campus athletic facilities on your own.
Visitors are welcome to join students for lunch at the Scranton Commons for $7.30 per person or sample a la carte meals at Husky Lounge or Monty's.
