Have degree, want to teach

Students with an earned baccalaureate degree interested in completing requirements for Level I or Level II teacher certification have several options available to them. Certification can be obtained by completing a second bachelor's degree, by registering as a Category 6 Non-degree students, or by enrolling in the certification track of the Business Education, Elementary Education, Early Childhood, Special Education, Education of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing, or Curriculum and Instruction graduate programs.

Those seeking Teacher Certification in Secondary Education may not enroll as a Non-degree Category #6 student. They must contact the Secondary Education Department and speak with the chairperson, 570-389-4025

Who can apply:

Graduates of accredited colleges or universities.

How to apply as a Non-degree Student:

Complete and submit an official application to the Office of Adult Advisement.

Request that an official transcript from the degree granting institution be sent to Bloomsburg.
