Bloomsburg University's Campus at a Glance

Bloomsburg University's campus is divided into two parts, separated by about a half mile. Lower campus includes academic buildings and student services; upper campus includes intercollegiate athletic facilities, student apartments and dining services. Day-long shuttle bus service connects the two, and the university also provide shuttle service to downtown and nearby private apartment complexes. Carver Hall

The original building on campus, Carver remains the icon of the university. It's famous tower was recently lovingly restored, and it houses the offices of the president, academic affairs and Kenneth Gross Auditorium.


Academic Quad

Completely relandscaped in the summer of 2007, the academic quad ties together almost all the university's academic buildings around a magnificent public space. Eliminated were an old parking lot and a considerable amount of vehicular traffic.


Centennial Hall

Built in 1939 as a gymnasium, Centennial Hall was recently completely renovated and expanded to house the College of Liberal Arts, School of Graduate Studies, several departments, programs and laboratories, including the university's professional audiology clinic.


Andruss Library

Anchoring the east end of the quad, Harvey A. Andruss library holds more than half a million books in its collection as well as hundreds of computer work stations, study areas, meeting rooms and the university archives. A centerpiece on the second floor are two priceless Tiffany stained glass windows.


McCormick Center for Human Services

The largest academic building on campus is home to the College of Professional Studies, many departments, classrooms, labs and lecture halls.


Bakeless Center for the Humanities

On the northwest corner of the quad, Bakeless is home to a number of departments, classrooms, the writing center and other services.


Sutliff Hall

Home to the College of Business and all its departments, Sutliff Hall offers classrooms and labs for business majors.


Waller Administration Building

At the northeast corner of the quad, Waller Administration houses university business offices, vice president for finance and administration, human resources, social equity, communications, telecommunications, purchasing and duplicating services.


Hartline Science Center

Recently doubled in size and filled with high tech laboratories and lecture halls, Hartline Science Center houses the College of Science and Technology and many of its departments.


Warren Student Services Center

Conveniently located in the center of campus, Warren Center houses academic support departments, financial aid, the registrar's office, a dining facility, admissions, and specialized classrooms.


Haas Center for the Arts

Located just off the quad, Haas Center houses the 1900-seat Mitrani Hall auditorium, rehearsal and practice studios, and the department of music.


Navy Hall

Originally one of two lab schools on campus, Navy Hall has recently been completely renovated for use by the Department of Exceptionality Programs.


Columbia Hall, Haas Center for the Arts

Just beyond Haas, Columbia Hall dominates the skyline at the western end of campus, one of seven residence halls grouped around a small quad, Kehr Student Union, the bookstore, and campus dining facilities.


Kehr Student Union

The north side of Kehr Union shows three of its four levels, including a wide array of meeting rooms for student organizations, a ballroom, multicultural center, and the offices of student and community activities as well as the vice president for university and student affairs.

The south side of Kehr Union opens to a brick amphitheather used for a variety of events, immediately adjacent to Scranton Commons, the primary dining facility on campus.


Lycoming Residence Hall

Just east of Kehr and Scranton is one of the seven residence halls clustered in a group at the end of campus closest to downtown Bloomsburg.


Luzerne Residence Hall

Recently renovated, Luzerne Residence Hall is directly opposite Northumberland on what used to be a street but is now an inviting pedestrian walkway.


Montour Residence Hall

Tucked into a hillside next to Kehr Union is Montour Residence Hall. Columbia Hall towers behind it. From the group of halls, it's just a five minute walk to the business district of the Town of Bloomsburg.


Northumberland Residence Hall

Also recently renovated is Luzerne's sister hall, Northumberland, fronting on one of the primary pedestrian routes to and from academic buildings higher up the hill.


Student Recreation Center

At the eastern-most end of campus is the 78,000-square foot Student Recreation Center, which includes five full basketball courts, cardio and freeweight rooms, aerobics studios, five racquetball courts and locker room facilities for men and women. It rivals large professional fitness centers in terms of equipment and training services.
