BU Players Officers, 2014-15
Claudia Clerger (PR & Marketing) is a senior majoring in Mass Communications with a Minor in Theater Arts. Her first stage appearance took place as Ms.Veronica in the Bloomsburg University Student Theatrical Educational Drama group her sophomore and junior year. Claudia loves acting and try's to be involved in everything related to it. A active leader in the campus community, she also juggles being a community assistant, a writer for the school newspaper and a radio disc jockey for the campus radio station WBUQ amongst other things. This is Claudia's first time being a BU Player and her first time being an executive board member. She is excited for this season for the BU Players and hopes that by the end of the academic year her and her Public Relations team can successfully show the student body just how great the theatre division is!
Kellyanne Klause (PR & Marketing) is a senior duel major in Theatre with a Performance Emphasis and Communications Studies in the Organizational Tract. Play credits include; Juror 12 (12 Angry Jurors), Franklin Versati (The Underpants), Writer/Performer (30 Plays in 60 Minutes), Karen Wright (The Children’s Hour), Trevor Pratt (Roadkill Confidential) and most recently, Macbeth (Macbeth). For her roles in The Underpants and 30 Plays in 60 Minutes Kellyanne received nominations for Irene Ryan’s from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival Region II. Kellyanne can also be spotted in a Late Night with Jimmy Fallon promo, where Kelly and Jimmy shared a high five. Kellyanne also works as a sophomore mentor for the Center for Visual and Performing Arts Living and Learning Community on campus. Kellyanne is thrilled to be working with this talented group and is excited for this upcoming year!
Kelly Oberlin (Events Coordinator) is a Senior Integrated Theatre Arts Major with a dance minor. Acting credits: Peggy Rogers (The Children’s Hour), Callie (Scarecrow), Christy (Frog Loves Christy), Ginny (For Whom the Southern Belle Tolls), Jayna (Richard Fisher’s Funeral). Musical Theatre Credits: Girl Bad Idea Bear, Mrs. Thistletwat, Ensemble (Avenue Q), Milly (Seven Brides for Seven Brothers), Velma (West Side Story),Ensemble (42nd Street). Dance Credits: In the repertory class for the 4th Annual Repertory/Ensemble Dance Minor Concert. Stage management credits: Roadkill Confidential. Kelly has also been working as an assistant director/assistant choreographer for musicals and plays at Mifflinburg Area High school.
Titus O’Neil (Vice President) is a theatre major in his junior year at Bloomsburg University. His most recent appearance was in Bloomsburg University’s The Children’s Hour as the Grocery Boy as well as the university’s production of 30 Plays in 60 Minutes in which he wrote and performed. Over the summer he played the role of The French Taunter/Herbert’s Father in Hamilton Gibson Theatre’s production of Spamalot.
Nate Stosius (Historian) is a Sophomore Theatre Major with a performance emphasis at Bloomsburg University. Previous roles include FBI Man in Roadkill Confidential and Nicky/Trekkie Monster in Avenue Q. He is currently portraying Banquo in Macbeth. Nate also works with the West Perry Theatrical Boosters Association in his home town of West Perry, Pennsylvania.
Sara Tessarvich (Secretary) is a junior Theatre Major with an Integrated emphasis at Bloomsburg University. Past roles include portraying a nurse in South Pacific, a Townsperson in Our Town (both with the Danville High School Drama Club), and Gwendolyn in The Vagabonde Romeo and You Know Who; a Comedy (with Vagabonde Shakespeare). She has also served as a director of one of the The 24 Hour Plays and as Assistant Stage Manager for The Children’s Hour (both BUPlayers’ productions).
