Bloomsburg University Television, housed in McCormick Center for Human Services, was established in 1986. The on-campus station has evolved greatly over the past 25 years. The studios were upgraded to high definition in January 2009, along with the installation of an Apple Xsan network storage environment for tapeless production.

BUTV broadcasts student productions, campus programming, and syndicated material over local cable channel 8 (scaled down to standard definition 4:3). Recently, the installation of the new HuskyTV system brought a live HD stream of BUTV to the world wide web.
