Luciana Souza with Romero Lubambo - The Sound of Brazil
Grammy winner Luciana Souza is a leading singer and interpreter of today’s jazz scene. She began her recording career at age three with a radio commercial and went on to record more than 200 jingles and soundtracks, becoming a first-call studio veteran by age sixteen.
Her academic pedigree includes a BA in jazz composition from Boston’s Berklee College of Music, where she also spent four years on the faculty; an MA in jazz studies from the New England Conservatory of Music; and a four-year teaching stint at the Manhattan School of Music, New York City. Her singing has been called “transcendental, perfect, and of unparalleled beauty.” Her longstanding collaboration with Brazilian guitarist Romero Lubambo has earned accolades across the globe.
