Spring Awakening

Winner of eight Tony Awards, including 2007 musical of the year, and featuring an electrifying rock score by Grammy Award-winners Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater, Spring Awakening has been proclaimed “the most explosive new musical since Rent.” Inspired by Frank Wedekind’s play that was banned for 100 years in Germany, Spring Awakening remains controversial for its honest depiction of the issues of adolescence, including sexuality, independence and the fear of not measuring up. Says John Moore of the Denver Post, “Spring Awakening is the most thrilling, discombobulating live theatre experience to hit the stage in a long, long time.” A gallery talk will be offered one hour prior to curtain.
