Corporate and Continuing Education: Policies and Procedures
Registration Options - We offer five fast and easy ways to register for noncredit courses:
- Walk in. Visit our offices at the Magee Center, 700 West Main Street in Bloomsburg. Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and Monday through Thursday evenings when classes are held at the Magee Center.
- By Mail. Send completed registration forms and payment to: Corporate and Continuing Education, Magee Center, 700 West Main Street, Bloomsburg, PA 17815
- By Phone. 570-389-4420 (Visa or MasterCard only)
- By Fax. 570-389-5060 (Visa or MasterCard only)
Payment - You must pay for your course at the time of registration. Make checks payable to "Bloomsburg University" and mail them to the Magee Center address listed above. Phone or fax registrations will be accepted only with Visa or MasterCard payment.
Registration Deadlines - We'll accept your registration form and payment up until the course reaches its enrollment limit. Secure a seat in the class of your choice by registering early. Substitutions are welcome up until the start of the class.
Refunds / Cancellations
- Career Skills Courses: Due to high overhead related to professional courses, refunds for 'Career Skills' courses will only be issued on written request received at least five working days before the start of the class. Bus Trips: Due to the financial commitments required for our bus trips, we cannot honor refund requests once a trip has been confirmed. If we have people on a waiting list and can find someone to take your place, we will refund your payment minus a $10 processing fee. If you have a friend who would like to go in your place, you may transfer your seat to them; just give us a call at 570-389-4420 so that we can update our roster. Courses with rain dates: If a course is "rained out" on the scheduled class date, you will be notified that it will be held on the rain date. If you cannot attend on the rain date, we will refund your payment minus a $10 processing fee. All other courses: If you cancel at least one business day before the course begins, we will refund your payment minus a $10 processing fee. No refunds can be issued after a course begins. If you cannot attend, we encourage you to send a friend in your place.
If we cancel a course for any reason, you will receive a full refund. Sometimes we have to cancel a course due to low enrollment, although every effort is made to run all classes. Registering at least one week before the course begins and inviting your friends to join you can help prevent cancellations.
Corporate and Continuing Education reserves the right to cancel, postpone, reschedule, limit enrollment, split or combine classes, and to change instructors and class locations. Every reasonable effort will be made to give you advance notice of such changes.
Class Confirmations / Locations - Class location will be listed in the confirmation letter which will be mailed to you when the class reaches sufficient enrollment. If time does not allow for mail delivery, we will call you. If you're concerned because you have not heard from us, please call 570-389-4420. Some classes do not meet every week; please check carefully for "skip" dates. Classes held at the Magee Center will not meet during the week of the Bloomsburg Fair (normally the last week in September). Classes meeting on main campus will not meet during university vacations unless you are notified otherwise.
Cancellations - In case of inclement weather, you may call our office (Magee Center) at 570-389-4420, the BU Information Desk at 570-389-3900, or the BSAF hotline at 570-389-2723 for updated announcements regarding scheduled or postponed mini-courses.
Teaching opportunities - For information on submitting a course or workshop proposal, call 570-389-4420.

Parking - Parking is available at the Magee Center in the rear parking lot, with a few spaces available at the front and along the east side of the building. Overflow parking is available in the Fairgrounds lot just inside the fence at the west end of the alley directly behind the Magee Center. On campus you may park anywhere after 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday except in reserved or handicapped areas. Weekend parking has no time restriction, but please respect reserved and handicapped parking areas.
Satisfaction Guarantee - If you finish a course and are not completely satisfied, you are guaranteed a 100% refund ...no questions asked, no explanation required. We regret that the cost of materials purchased for the course is not refundable.
