Sally McAvoy - President (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Hi everyone! I’m Sally McAvoy, a senior from Wyomissing, Pennsylvania studying Early Childhood and Special Education as a double major with a concentration in Language Arts. After graduation, I look forward to becoming an elementary teacher to help the younger generation work toward their potential and find their passions. This year I will be serving as the president of CGA. I am excited to see what this year holds and what we can all do together to make Bloomsburg University our home away from home.
Rebecca Demuth - Vice President (email@example.com)
Hey guys! My name is Rebecca DeMuth, but you may know me as Becca. I am a Junior from Garnet Valley, PA. I am a double major in Communications and Geography and Planning with a minor in Law and Legal Studies. I have been in CGA for two years, one of which I served as the Executive Assistant on the Exec Board. Outside of the CGA, I am also involved in NCASC, intramural softball and I complete the data analysis and input for our on-campus Weather Station. (Who knew we had that, right?) This year I will be a returning CA in Montgomery Place Apartments. My main goal as a member of the CGA in the 2015-2016 school year is to educate students on the CGA’s presence throughout the University and to make the general population more comfortable in turning to our Senators for representation. Please help me reach my goal this year; if you have any comments, concerns or just want to chat about anything feel free to stop me on campus!
James Fazio - Treasurer (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Hi my name Jimmy Fazio and I am the CGA Treasurer for the 2015/2016 school year. During my time here at Bloomsburg I have been a part of CGA for two years prior to this one, one of which was already served on the executive board. I am currently a senior finance major with and accounting minor and also actively work with an investment management firm. If during the school year you have any questions for me or would like to discuss funding for your club, feel free to reach out to me.
Patrick Berridge - Secretary (email@example.com)
Hello everyone! My name is Patrick Berridge and I am a junior Business Management Major from Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. This year I have the pleasure of fulfilling the Secretary position. I have been involved in the Community Government Association since my freshman year and it has been an amazing experience. I love being actively involved in an organization that empowers students and affects our campus community in such a positive way. Outside of CGA I work in Residence Life as a Community Assistant (CA) in Luzerne Hall and pursue volunteer activities with DASL. Most importantly I’m looking forward to another great year with CGA!
Mary McGonigle - Executive Assistant (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Hey there! My name is Mary McGonigle and I am a sophomore from Coatesville, PA. I am a Speech Language Pathology and Audiology major and the Executive Assistant for CGA. I am also an active member in NSSHLA (National Student Speech, Hearing, Language Association). I originally started out being an on-campus senator in CGA fall semester my freshman year, but due to a class conflict was unable to attend and had to be re-elected in the spring. CGA is truly an eye-opening organization. Even though it's not run by the school, the amount of things we do to contribute to the well being of the school as well as the students is crazy! I have also been able to meet so many amazing people and make so many new friends. Words cannot nearly describe how grateful I am for this organization so I completely recommend you getting involved too! If you have any questions feel free to email me or if you see me around campus feel free to say hi. I'll probably be around wearing a tie dye shirt and little braids in my hair somewhere!
Michael Mintzer- Historian (email@example.com)
Hi my name is Michael Mintzer and I am a sophomore from Bethlehem, PA. I am finance and accounting dual major as well as being the historian for CGA. I came on to CGA spring semester my freshman year as an on-campus senator and I immediately could tell that I was going to have a wonderful experience with it. CGA really helps put into perspective all it takes to run this awesome university, as well as brings together some of the best people I've ever met. If you're looking to get involved, feel free to contact me or go ahead and follow our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram accounts for updates. And remember, "'You miss 100% of the shots you don't take -Wayne Gretzky'- Michael Scott."
John Caserta - Parliamentarian (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Hi! My name is John Caserta and I am the Parliamentarian of the CGA! I am a sophomore majoring in Political Science from Feasterville, PA. I first started CGA as a Senator, Treasurer for the Class of 2018, and a KUB Governing Board Representative and I loved every second of it! I loved it so much I wanted to join the Executive Board. Joining CGA my freshmen year was the best decision I made here at Bloomsburg! As a senator, I was able to get to know the school very well. Therefore, I highly encourage everyone to get involved with CGA!
Along with my involvement in CGA, I am a member of the BU Model United Nations. I am also a Mentor for the Compass LLC and a Big Brother for Big Brothers Big Sisters. Throughout my educational career I have always been involved and plan to be involved for the rest of my time here at Bloomsburg University!
Katie Mullen - Student Trustee (email@example.com)
Hey there! My name is Katie Mullen and I am the student on the Board of Trustees for Bloomsburg University. I am from Bloomsburg and am excited to represent the student body as a local girl. I am a junior Biochemistry major and plan to attend medical school after graduating from BU. I am excited to serve as the student trustee and member of the executive board of CGA this year because I am new to all of it. This is the first time I will be involved in student government. I hope to grow both as an individual and student representative through this experience.
