Justine Albright - President (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Hi! I am a Junior majoring in Public Relations and Digital Forensics. I am from Allentown, Pennsylvania and joined CGA as a Senator freshman year serving on the Finance, Food Service, Student Organizations and University Forum Committees. At the end of the spring semester, I was appointed to fill the position of Executive Assistant when the opening became available. After just one semester as Executive Assistant, I was asked to become Secretary. I spent my summer working as an intern with Student Affairs meeting with administrators on campus and working on various projects for CGA, such as, Meet The President and The Big Event. Through this internship I have been able to gain knowledge of the internal structure of the University and improve communication between students, CGA and administration.
In addition to CGA, I am a Community Assistant and a Board of Governors Scholar. I am involved in Best Buddies, Developing Ambitious Student Leaders (DASL) and serves on the executive board of BUnow. I enjoy being involved on campus and hope to continue to grow as a student leader throughout the remainder of my college career, graduating in 2015.
Sean Williams - Vice President (email@example.com)
Hi! I’m Sean Williams, Parliamentarian for CGA. I am a junior from Royersford, PA. I am a Creative Writing major, minoring in Professional Writing and French. When I first joined CGA as a senator during my freshman year, I hadn’t had any experience in student government. However, it has since been one of the best decisions I have ever made at Bloomsburg University. Getting to know my school and having the privilege to work with such amazing people drove me to become more involved on campus.
Currently I am a Communications Assistant in BU’s Marketing and Communications Office. I write feature stories for different college newsletters, press releases for events on campus and I help edit and publish Bloomsburg: The University Magazine. I am also a student leader with DASL and one of the student writers for BUnow. I hope I can continue to be involved on campus and get as much as I can out of my four years at Bloomsburg University.
Jordan Stimeling - Treasurer (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Hi! My name is Jordan Stimeling and I am the Treasurer of CGA. I am a senior Interpersonal Communications major with a Sociology minor. I joined CGA in the Fall of 2011 as an On-Campus Senator my freshman year. I am also a third year Community Assistant in Elwell Hall. In addition to these leadership roles, I am a Board of Governors Scholar and a mentor through the Board of Governors mentoring program.
I am looking to advance my education after I receive my bachelor's degree and obtain a Master's degree in Student Affairs/Counseling. My career goal is to become a high school guidance counselor to help students with decision making and planning for their futures. Upon graduation in Spring 2015, I look to encourage students to make a positive impact while attending Bloomsburg University and become involved within the community!
Sally McAvoy - Secretary (email@example.com)
Hi! I'm a dual-major in Early Childhood and Special Education with a concentration in reading from Wyomissing, PA. I joined CGA during my freshman year as the President and Treasurer for the Class of 2016 and also served as a member on both the Finance and Student Organizations Committees. At the end of my freshman year I was appointed to be the Executive Assistant for the upcoming year. This year I was reelected as the Class of 2016 President and I am a CA in Schuylkill Hall, as well as being involved in PSEA.
After graduating in 2016 I hope to be a teacher in a second or third grade classroom, as well as work towards earning my Master's degree.
Rebecca Demuth - Executive Assistant (firstname.lastname@example.org)
Hey guys! My name is Rebecca DeMuth, but you may know me as Becca. I am a sophomore from Garnet Valley, PA. I am a double major in Communications and Geography and Planning with a minor in Spanish. I was elected to CGA last year as the Secretary of the class of 2017 and an on-campus senator. I was a very active member of the Student Organizations Committee, The Big Event and many other events. Outside of the Senate, I am also involved in DASL (Developing Ambitious Student Leaders), intramural softball and I complete the data analysis and input for our on-campus Weather Station. (Who knew we had that, right?) This year I will be working as a CA in Montgomery Place Apartments. My main goal as a member of the CGA in the 2014-2015 school year is to educate students on the CGA’s presence throughout the University and to make the general population more comfortable in turning to our Senators for representation. Please help me reach my goal this year; if you have any comments, concerns or just want to chat about anything feel free to stop me on campus!
