Several types of housing are available on campus for summer conference guests. Linen service is available upon request. Youth groups are required to have adult supervision for any attendees age 18 and under at the ratio of one adult to ten youths. For groups holding events during the academic year, mid-August through mid-May, housing is arranged with local hotels at a conference rate.
Our seven (7) traditional-style residence halls are capable of accommodating over 1000 guests. We can make assignments according to gender, age or other needs. All residence halls are double-occupancy per room. Each building has lounges and a laundry room. Some buildings have televisions in public lounges. All campus buildings are smoke-free.
Each room in BU's residence halls is equipped with the following:
Conveniently clustered on the upper campus, BU has two apartment complexes. Montgomery Place Apartments consist of two-bedroom, four-person apartments with a bathroom, full kitchen, dining nook and living room. Parking is available adjacent to the buildings. Capacity = 380
Mount Olympus Apartments are two-story, air-conditioned, six-bedroom six-person apartments. The first floor has two bedrooms, a bathroom, full kitchen and living room. The second floor has four bedrooms, separate toilet and shower areas, and a kitchenette. Parking is available adjacent to the buildings and in two lots directly across the street. Capacity = 240
To make your stay on campus more comfortable, your participants may elect to bring the following items:
* Prescription medication should be documented through your group's leader. If refrigeration of medication is required, your group leader needs to contact Conference Services prior to arrival on campus.
All residence halls are equipped with electronic card access devices which permit access only to residents and University personnel with valid identification cards. Lost cards can be replaced at the BU Card Center in Elwell Hall. A replacement fee will be charged. Participants who have lost or misplaced their access card are expected to contact the group leader or hall mates to gain access to their assigned hall.
The residence halls are also equipped with peripheral door alarms which will sound if the door is used. Guests are expected to only use the main residence hall doors for entry/exit at all times. Doors are not to be propped open at any time for security reasons. Guests and staff are reminded not to allow non-residents who are not members of their group to enter the buildings.
