Friday, Nov. 15 (9 a.m. to 4 p.m.)

College of Science and Technology’s annual Career Day is coming up, and once again we are asking alumni, health care, education, computer and all other science and technology professionals to man our panels as part of the activities. The event was a huge success last year, and we are aiming for an even bigger and better event this year.

Alumni, professionals and businesses will be able to participate in three ways:

Discussion Sessions:

Professionals will pick which panel(s) they will participate in from a list of 15. Each panel will last 50 minutes and consist of 4-8 panelists who have life experiences pertaining to that particular topic. There will be a BU faculty member mediator, who will ensure that the session moves along, that everyone is heard and all questions are answered.

Mathematic; Mathematics & Science in Secondary Education; Audiology & Speech Pathology; Computer Science; Digital Forensics; Chemistry & Physics; Instructional Technology; Environmental, Geographical & Geological Sciences; Nursing; Exercise Science; Internships & Research; Biology; and Allied Health Science

All businesses that have a panelist present are welcome to provide information and opportunities available at their company. A booth can be manned during the day or informational papers may be left in this area. There will also be informational booths available regarding internships, and research availabilities. Similarly many of the College of Science and Technology student clubs and organizations will have representatives available.

Free Networking Lunch

From 12:00pm to 1:00pm guests are welcome to enjoy a light lunch provided by the Dean’s Office. This will allow our students and faculty to interact with the guest professionals in a casual setting.

Panelists may stay all day or only for their specific Discussion Session. However, we do encourage all guests to stay as much as possible, and for the free lunch.

Bloomsburg University Alumni Affairs and Professional Engagement will be proving our guests with many special mementoes and activities throughout the day, including a tour of campus.
