Request for Additional Federal Stafford Loan

This request form is for students who meet one of the following conditions:

• Student is requesting additional unsubsidized loan because they are an independent student as determined by the FAFSA.
• Student is requesting additional unsubsidized loan because a parent has been denied a Federal PLUS Loan.
• Student has changed grade levels during an academic year.
  (Do not submit until your grades have been posted to STINF)
• Student has regained satisfactory progress requirements during an academic year.
  (Do not submit until your grades have been posted to STINF)
• Student is a transfer student or has returned from a leave of absence.  (Do not submit until your transfer credits have been posted to STINF)
• Student is a graduate student requesting loans for subsequent semesters.
• Other (i.e. Loan for current academic year canceled because loan never negotiated; Summer-January Freshmen returning in spring semester.)

The student (not the parent) will need to complete a request form.

Remember:  You must have a valid Federal Stafford Loan Master Promissory Note and FAFSA on file.  The amount of loan processed may be reduced by the Financial Aid Office based on eligibility.
