Early Childhood Education (B.S.Ed.)
BU's early childhood education (N-K-3) undergraduate program provides students with knowledge of:
- the nature of the child
- the nature of the school and center
- the learning process
- general methods of teaching
- methods of teaching particular subjects
- as well as providing teaching experience

A total of 69 semester hours is taken in required courses — none taken on a pass/fail basis. An area of concentration is optional. However, no free electives are available. In addition to the 120-credit requirement for a bachelor's degree, early childhood education majors are subject to background checks and passage of PRAXIS exams.
