BU's Department of Economics offers a joint-degree exchange program with The Financial University in Moscow, Russia. Through this program, students can earn degree from both institutions, Bloomsburg University as well as The Financial University in Russia.

Standard tuition fees apply. Students will be responsible for the airfare. Students from both institutions are eligible.

To date, more than ninety students from The Financial University have successfully completed the program and several Bloomsburg University students have studied in Moscow. The courses are taught in English and the experience includes:

  • living in Moscow
  • touring the Kremlin
  • visiting the Red Square
  • exploring the Lenin Mausoleum
  • experiencing the Russian culture first-hand

Summer Study Abroad

Students spend four weeks studying in Moscow, Russia, at the Finance University under the Government of the Russian Federation. The program provides students an opportunity to earn nine general education credits, as well as major areas. Students will acquire key skills and training to build successful careers in a global economy and international marketplace.

In addition, students gain a deep understanding of complex interactions across cultural borders, build a network of international friends and discover the true meaning of diversity and multiculturalism — essential for broadening insight in your own values and society.
