The goal of the ELL Credit Bearing Courses is to have students succeed in each individual course as well as in their other courses. Ultimately, students will carry their success with them throughout their career and beyond. These courses are appropriate for current students who are non-native speakers of English as well as international students who need to fulfill their 6 credits of ESL for conditional admission.

Topics may include:
Comprehension of familiar and unfamiliar topics, in addition to taking notes from lectures and other media sources
Dialects, pronunciation, and repair strategies for discourse
Formal and informal presentations, speeches, and debates
