When severe weather threatens to disrupt classes and/or administrative office schedules, several options are considered on the basis of safety and welfare of students, faculty and staff:
Decisions to delay or close are based on road conditions provided by Pennsylvania State Police and/or Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
If severe weather exists before the start of the normal schedule, a decision will be made by 5:15 a.m. and conveyed to students and employees by local television, radio and university communications channels. If bad weather occurs during the scheduled day, class cancellation and liberal leave decisions will be made and distributed as situations warrant.

Classes that meet for two or more consecutive meeting times will meet for the same number of adjusted sessions
Evening classes are defined as classes beginning at 6 p.m. and later.
