| February 1 | Student deadline for Application for Graduation form to be submitted to student's academic department. Two applications must be completed for Secondary Education, double major and dual degree students. Two-page form available on the Graduation website. |
| (March 1) | Deadline for August graduates. |
| March 15 | Deadline for student's department to approve Application for Graduation and to notify the Graduation Office. (Department approval is necessary in order for students to be eligible to participate in commencement and to graduate.) |
| (April 1) | Deadline for August graduates. |
| April 16 and 17 | GRAD FINALE' - 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Alumni House on Lightstreet Road. Photo i.d. is required.
(If class schedule does not allow student to attend the Grad Finale', students can purchase the cap and gown and announcements at the University Store. The name card and honor cord-if eligible---can be picked up in the Graduation Office, Carver Hall, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., April 18 - 25, photo I.D. required, or before the graduation ceremony at the Graduation Information table where students line up.) |
| April 21 | If student or guest requires an interpreter for the deaf or hard of hearing for the commencement ceremony, please contact ahakim@bloomu.edu. Guests in wheelchairs do not need to make special arrangements. Areas for wheelchairs and guests who have trouble walking will be available. There will be designated parking areas behind Bakeless and McCormick for handicapped and disabled guests. |
| May 10 | 9:00 a.m. - Students in the Colleges of Liberal Arts and Science and Technology begin to assemble for the 10:00 a.m. in Centennial Hall. |
| 2:00 p.m. - Students in the Colleges of Business and Professional Studies begin to assemble for the 3:00 p.m. ceremony in Centennial Hall. | |
| End-of July | Expect to receive diploma and final transcript in the mail by this time. |
