Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men (and women) in the United States. Heart disease can lead to heart attack, stroke, and heart failure — as well as many other serious medical conditions. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that 72% of men in our country are overweight and more than 31% of men 20 years of age or older suffer from high blood pressure.
Not sure if you are at risk for heart disease? Talk with your doctor, read-up on the internet, browse through a book at the library. If your father, brother, husband, or son is at risk for heart disease, this is the month to let them know how important they are to you.
