Assistant Professor, full time, permanent tenure track in Instructional Technology at Bloomsburg University of PA. Appointment date August 2014.
Primary duties are teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in the Department of Instructional Technology. Faculty are also expected to provide service to the department, college and university, participate in ongoing professional development and develop a program of scholarship that includes seeking external funding through grants and contracts. The department offers a Master of Science in Instructional Technology with a Corporate and Instructional Technology Specialist track and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Technical Leadership. Courses to be taught will include Technology in the Classroom, Instructional Design, Research in Instructional Technology, eLearning Techniques and other courses that support the department’s two degree programs. Teaching will include both online and face-to-face formats. The incumbent is expected to oversee the Education Advisory Council activities for the Instructional Technical Specialist track.
Completed doctorate in Instructional Technology, Educational Technology, or related field required prior to August 22, 2014. Experience in K-12 teaching is required. Experience in K-12 administrative supervision, graduate teaching, and online teaching preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations preferred. Finalist(s) for this position must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process and teaching demonstration, as judged by the department faculty. Recommendation for hiring is needed from a majority of the regular, full-time faculty within the area or department conducting the search.
