The Department of Sociology, Social Work, and Criminal Justice at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania seeks a dynamic teacher for a one semester temporary position (AA#45-8-92) teaching Introduction to Sociology and other lower level sociology courses. Our full-time course load is 12 credits (4 courses per semester; maximum of three preparations).
Ph.D. or ABD and college level teaching experience is preferred. Finalists must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process and/or teaching demonstration. Recommendation for hiring is needed by the majority of the regular, full-time department faculty. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations preferred.
Terms of employment will be full-time/temporary. Appointment dates are from January 2010-May 2010. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
