The Department of Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a full time tenure-track assistant professor to begin in the fall semester of 2012 (AA# 53-1-138).
An earned Ph.D. in Statistics or Mathematics from an accredited institution is required by August 27, 2012. Although candidates with expertise in statistics would better complement the current faculty, applicants in all areas of applied mathematics are also encouraged to apply. Demonstrated strong commitment to teaching, research and continuous scholarly activity is required for tenure. Finalists for the position must communicate well, successfully complete a teaching demonstration that incorporates their research and complete an interview process as judged by the department faculty. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations preferred. Recommendation for hiring is needed by the majority of the regular, full-time department faculty.
