The Department of Physics and Engineering Technology invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position, beginning August 2013. A doctorate in electrical engineering, physics, or a closely related field is required by Aug. 24, 2013. Teaching assignments, with laboratories, may include electronics and introductory physics courses. Those with academic and/or industry experience in modern digital systems are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate must be prepared to initiate an active research program involving undergraduates. Bloomsburg University is a strong regional university with a long-standing commitment to excellence in faculty teaching and research. Instructional delivery can occur through on-line, traditional, and alternative methods and can occur on main campus or off-site educational locations. Voluntary summer contracts may be available.

Finalist(s) must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process as judged by the department faculty. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations preferred.
