The Department of Early Childhood and Elementary Education at Bloomsburg University offers a full time temporary instructor position in early childhood through elementary level (K-6) for the spring 2010 semester. Primary responsibilities: supervise student teachers during the spring 2010 semester. A Master’s Degree is required; Doctorate preferred. Other required qualifications include: an early childhood and/or elementary level teaching certificate with full-time teaching experience and supervision, a strong academic teaching background in early childhood and/or elementary education.

Qualifications/ Experience:

In addition, all finalists must (a) communicate well, (b) successfully complete an interview process and teaching demonstration, (c) demonstrate ability to work with diverse populations, (d) provide evidence of scholarly activity through publications, grants, and presentations, (e) document excellence in teaching with a strong academic and teaching background in an early childhood and/or elementary level classroom, (f) demonstrate the ability to integrate the use of technology in teaching early childhood and/or elementary level education courses and (g) documentation of supervisory experience in an early childhood and/or elementary level classroom. Recommendation for hiring is needed by the majority of the regular, full-time faculty.
