Speech-Language Pathology Tenure-Track Faculty Position at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania
The Department of Audiology & Speech Pathology in the College of Science and Technology at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking to hire an Assistant/Associate Professor of Speech-Language Pathology (AA# 70-8-402). The person must have an expertise in at least one of the following areas: language development/disorders, life span issues related to communication disorders, augmentative/alternative communication, autism, and service delivery models. Additional areas of expertise considered as department grows. Previous teaching in graduate programs, grant writing, research publications, clinical experience, and curriculum development are highly desirable. Our program consists of 26 faculty and staff who teach and/or provide supervision within the department. The faculty and staff benefit from state-of-the-art equipment in our new clinical facilities.
This is a tenure-track position. Rank and salary are commensurate with credentials along with a full benefits package. The position begins in the Fall 2010 semester and is a 9-month contract; however, summer employment has been consistently available. Completing this search is contingent on available funding.
Minimum requirements: Earned doctorate (Ph.D., Sc.D., or Ed.D.) Evidence of teaching proficiency and research capability are required with a demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population in area of expertise(s) preferred. Must possess or must be eligible for Pennsylvania licensure and must possess Certificate of Clinical Competence. Finalists must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process and teaching demonstration or research presentation. Recommendation for hiring needed by the majority of the regular, full-time department faculty.
