Exceptionality Programs

Department of Exceptionality Programs-Graduate Reading Program Assistant/Associate Professor

The Department of Exceptionality Programs is seeking applicants for one full-time, tenure track (74-8-125) position (Assistant Professor/Associate Professor) in the Graduate Reading Program beginning in the fall 2009.

The successful candidate must have expertise in teaching graduate-level literacy courses. The candidate will also demonstrate the skills needed to link theory and practice in coursework and practicum supervision.

Finalists for this position must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process and teaching demonstration, as judged by department faculty. Candidates must also provide evidence of effective teaching and potential for scholarly activity in reading/literacy education. Recommendation for hiring is needed by the majority of the regular, full-time department faculty.
