The Department of Nursing at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania which has an accredited BSN and MSN program is seeking applicants for a full-time, permanent, tenure track Community Health/Environmental Health nurse educator position with teaching responsibilities at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Instructional delivery can occur through on-line, traditional, and alternative instructional methods and can occur on main campus or off-site educational locations. Voluntary summer contracts may be available. Successful candidates will have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service.
Earned doctorate in Nursing or related field from an accredited institution required by August 24, 2013 with a strong academic background; expertise in community assessment and epidemiology preferred. Master's degree in Nursing required. Eligibility for Pennsylvania RN licensure is required if a current PA RN license is not in hand. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations preferred. Finalists for this position must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process and teaching demonstration, as judged by the department faculty. Recommendation for hiring is needed from a majority of the regular, full-time faculty within the department.
