Department Of Finance

Position AA #96-1-123:

The Department of Finance in the College of Business at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for a permanent, tenure-track faculty position in Finance. The position requires teaching general and specialty undergraduate finance courses. MBA finance courses may also be assigned. This faculty position will support our new undergraduate career concentration in Personal Financial Planning which prepares students to take the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) examination. Instructional delivery can occur during the fall and spring semesters and also during summer terms. Depending upon our needs, courses may be taught using traditional, online, or alternative instructional methods. The faculty member must maintain an active research program, advise students, and work with diverse populations. The College of Business is AACSB accredited and has 45 full-time faculty members, 1,700 students, and 200 finance majors.

Qualifications:

An earned Ph.D. in business with major in finance or related field from an AACSB accredited institution is required. Each applicant's record of and potential for research will be evaluated. Preference will be given to individuals with experience in teaching personal finance and/or professional experience in financial planning. Finalists for the position must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process and a teaching demonstration. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations required.

Salary and Benefits:

Established by Collective Bargaining Agreement and commensurate with qualifications and experience. Excellent benefits.
