The Department of Finance in the College of Business at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for a permanent, tenure-track faculty position in Finance. The position requires teaching a variety of general and specialty undergraduate finance courses. MBA finance courses may also be assigned. Instructional delivery can occur during the fall and spring semesters, and also during summer terms. Depending upon our needs, courses may be taught using traditional, online, or alternative instructional methods. The faculty member must also maintain an active research program, advise students, and provide service to school. Bloomsburg University is located in beautiful north central Pennsylvania approximately 50 miles southwest of the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre and 30 miles west of the Pocono Mountains. There are 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students in four colleges: Business, Education, Liberal Arts, and Science and Technology. The College of Business is accredited by AACSB. Qualifications: An earned Ph.D. in business with major in finance or related field from an AACSB accredited institution is required. ABD candidates with a firm anticipated degree completion date by December 31, 2013 will be considered. Each applicant's record of and potential for research will be evaluated. Finalists for the position must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process and teaching demonstration. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations required.
Terms of Appointment: Permanent, Tenure-track position beginning in Fall 2013. Assistant/Associate Rank.
