Position Description:

Bloomsburg University employs tutors to work 3 to 9 hours per week. These tutors will assist students with their development in Mathematics, Statistics, Language Arts, Business, Accounting, Economics, General Science, Biology/Allied Health, Chemistry, Physics, and Nursing.

Qualifying Experience/Education:

Master’s degree in subject area preferred; Bachelor’s degree with extensive relevant experience will be considered; experience with high school or college students; teaching and/or specialist certification preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations required. Finalist(s) for this position must communicate well and successfully complete an interview.

Applicants will be rated on the following criteria:

1) Experience working with students in a teaching or tutoring environment.

2) Skill in interpersonal communication.

Term of Appointment: Temporary part-time, approximately 3 to 9 hours per week, “as needed” not to exceed August 31, 2013.

Appointment Date: Varies as needed

Salary: $19.23 per hour
