Temporary Adjunct Faculty Pool

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania's Department of Accounting seeks to build a pool of part-time instructors who may be called upon from time to time. Some openings may be available during May 31, 2010 through May 31, 2012.

The pool members must hold a Master's Degree (at minimum) in the appropriate field from a regionally accredited institution. Teaching experience, appropriate professional certifications, and demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations preferred.

Courses to be taught may include but are not limited to the following: Entry-level undergraduate accounting courses: Financial Accounting and Managerial Accounting. Completion of scholarly activities, including refereed journal articles and professional certifications is desirable.

Pre-finalists for the position must communicate well and successfully complete the interview process and/or teaching demonstration, as judged by the department faculty. Recommendation for hiring is needed by the majority of the regular, full-time department faculty. Completing theses searches is contingent on available funding.
