Anthropology - Temporary Pool

Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania's Department of Anthropology is seeking to establish a two-year pool of candidates for temporary teaching positions in the case of sudden or emergency position openings. Candidates must have at least a Master's degree in anthropology; ABD or Ph.D. preferred. College teaching experience is preferred. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations is preferred. Persons hired for these positions will be expected to teach a combination of introductory and upper-level courses in anthropology, depending on the curricular needs at a particular time the opening occurs.

Salary rates are competitive. Finalists for a specific position must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process and/or teaching demonstration, as judged by dept. faculty. Recommendation for hiring is needed by the majority of the regular, full-time dept. faculty.
