Director Of Alcohol And Drug Intervention Programs

Temporary Pool

The Director of Alcohol and Drug Intervention Programs is a member of the Department of Academic Support and Advisement Faculty. This is a temporary, two-year replacement pool ending November 20, 2011. The incumbent is responsible for promoting low risk, healthy alternative choices regarding the use of alcohol and other drugs by BU students. Other responsibilities include conducting screening assessments, providing consultations for both self-referral and referrals through the judicial system, and supervising peer educators.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Earned Master’s Degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field, PA license as a Professional Counselor, Social Worker or Psychologist, minimum one year of successful experience working with college students, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations. Demonstrated ability to work with a team. Three or more years of successful experience working with addictions, counseling and supervising peer educators in a collegiate setting, PA Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) or Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS).
