The Department of Developmental Instruction at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is establishing a pool of faculty applicants in developmental reading, writing, mathematics and ESL. Candidates for reading and writing must possess a master's degree in respective areas. Candidates for mathematics must possess a master's degree that includes a minimum of 15 credits in mathematics and at least three years experience in teaching algebra. Candidates for ESL must possess a master’s degree in some aspect of education and certification in ESL.
All applicants must have at least three years teaching experience and evidence of the ability to work and relate to individuals of varying backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations preferred. Recommendation for hiring will be made by the majority of regular full-time department members. Finalist(s) for this position must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process and/or teaching demonstration, as judged by the department faculty.
