Frederick Douglass Teaching Scholars Program

The Frederick Douglass Scholars Program of Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking qualified applicants for temporary, part-time and temporary, full-time positions from one of the fields taught at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania. Pool will be open from February 2008 through February 2010. Minimum requirements for participation in the program are a master's degree (or equivalent) in related field.

Individuals selected to participate in the program will teach a minimum of two courses per session during an agreed upon combination of the following summer, fall, and spring sessions. Scholars will be compensated as temporary faculty, according to the university's collective bargaining agreement.

Scholars are expected to live in university/community housing that will be provided at minimal cost and to participate in campus activities. Scholars may also be requested to work with the Frederick Douglass Institute to develop/implement multicultural programming on campus.

We are offering teaching opportunities to recent graduates of terminal degree programs and graduate students entering the final stages of terminal degree programs.
