The Department of Exceptionality Programs at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania is seeking applicants for an ongoing pool of candidates to fill emergency and temporary openings in the areas of Special Education (including student teacher supervision), Education of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, ASL/English Interpretation, and Graduate Reading.
A Master’s Degree, certification in the appropriate field, teaching experience, and demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations are the required qualifications. Finalists for positions must communicate well and successfully complete an interview process and/or teaching demonstration. Recommendation for hiring is needed by the majority of the regular, full-time department faculty. Finalists’ credentials will be kept on file for 24 months with the option of renewing at that time.
Interested individuals should send the following: a letter of application identifying the program area of expertise, vita, official undergraduate and graduate college/university transcripts, and three letters of professional reference. A statement of the applicant’s availability (full-time/part-time, day/evening) should also be provided.
