Harvey A. Andruss Library, Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, invites applications for a pool for a temporary Technical Services Librarian to organize and ensure access to the Library’s resources. Required: An ALA accredited Masters in Library/Information Sciences, a minimum of 6 months of experience directly related to cataloging or other technical services activities, and working knowledge of both the Library of Congress and Dewey Decimal Classification systems. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations and prior academic library experience are preferred.
The Temporary Technical Services Librarian operates under the authority of the Director of Library Services. The Temporary Technical Services Librarian will perform original cataloging and/or classification of print and/or non-print materials utilizing OCLC, perform complex copy cataloging, perform database maintenance of the online catalog, conduct staff supervision and training in the Cataloging unit, and participate in assigned liaison responsibilities with academic departments.
