The Department of Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics at Bloomsburg University of Pem1sylvania seeks individuals to serve as either full-time or part-time temporary faculty. Qualified applicants will be included in a "pool" of individuals which will be used to fill classroom teaching assignments as the need arises.
Assignments might include mathematics/statistics courses such as College Algebra, Pre-Calculus, Introduction to Statistics, Mathematical Thinking, Finite Mathematics, Applied Matrix Algebra, or computer science classes like Introduction to Computer Science, Visual Basic 1, Visual Basic 2, Object Oriented Programming in Java. Minimum requirements: earned Master's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics or related area, commitment to teaching and demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations.
Finalists for these positions must communicate well and successfully complete an inte1view process and/or teaching demonstrations as judged by the department faculty.
Deadline: ongoing through June 2016
Prior to a final offer of employment, the selected candidate will be required to submit to a background check including, but not limited to, employment verification, educational and other credential verification, and criminal background check. Completing these searches is contingent on available funding.
