Get ready to showcase your Husky Pride!
Are you ready to show your true colors? On Thursday, Sept. 1, Bloomsburg University will hold its first-ever Husky Pride Day.
Husky Pride Day is a chance for all faculty and staff to show their school spirit by wearing maroon and gold to work. We’re also asking everyone to decorate their office area in everything BU.
Show us your best school spirit. We’ll be around on campus that day taking pictures and will post photos of the best decorated offices on the Web.
Sporting events will be a big part of Husky Pride Day. The women’s soccer team will start the activities at 1 p.m. with a game against Davis and Elkins College at Sports Stadium on the upper campus. Admission is free.
Then at 6 p.m. our nationally ranked football team will open the 2011 season against Ashland University. All BU employees receive FREE admission to the game.
Simply bring your BU ID card.
Of course we’d also like you to bring your family and friends. Tickets for adults are just $10 and students $5. Children under 5 are admitted free. A great chance to see one of the best teams in the country — the HUSKIES — play right here at BU!
Do you need to update your maroon and gold wardrobe?
The University Store will have a buy one clothing item, get one clothing Item for 50% off just for faculty/staff right before the students move in on Aug. 18 and 19.
Also get 20% off merchandise starting Aug. 22. Stop down and get a great deal on something new to wear for the day.
Let’s show our students that they have chosen the best place to get an education by showing our Husky Pride on Sept. 1. Contact Tom McGuire, director of sports information, at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
