NOTE: Collection arrived in the University Archives in no discernible order. Boxes 1-3 are in chronological order. Lecture notes/auxiliary material (Boxes 4-6) are not integrated chronologically because it could not be determined which notes were used in what teaching situation; chances are Dr. Gunther used many of the lecture notes, etc. in both the University of Maryland and Bloomsburg State College/ Bloomsburg University situations. Also some materials from his graduate school days were apparently used in later teaching so they appear in Boxes 4-6 as well.
Some of HKG's published writings appear in appropriate chronological boxes (e.g. letters written to campus newspaper while at Bloomsburg) when clearly related to his position at the time. Others appear separately in Boxes 7 and 8.
