BU's Department of Mathematics, Computer Science and Statistics, led by 22 full-time faculty members holding doctoral degrees from a number of prestigious institutions, is committed to preparing graduates for rewarding careers in mathematics, computer science, statistics and computer forensics. In addition to teaching, faculty members are active in various research areas, publish articles and textbooks regularly, and maintain strong connections to local industry.
The department also offers a program supporting teacher certification in secondary education mathematics, as well as career-enhancing minors in statistics and computer science, including a web development track.
