Bloomsburg University Orchestra to perform Beethoven

BLOOMSBURG—The Bloomsburg University-Community Orchestra’s 2005 Spring Concert will be offered Sunday, April 3, at 2:30 p.m. in Haas Center for the Arts, Mitrani Hall.

The concert will feature Beethoven's Symphony No. 6 in F, Op. 68 "Pastoral" and his Concerto for Violin and Orchestra in D, Op. 61. The performance will feature violinist Jennifer Updegrove, a member of the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra. The Bloomsburg orchestra is directed by BU music professor Mark Jelinek.

Bloomsburg University is one of 14 universities in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The university serves approximately 8,000 students and offers 65 bachelor’s, 17 master’s and one doctoral degree.
