Guitarists headline BU Celebrity Artist Series program

For immediate release: Feb. 22, 2007

BLOOMSBURG — Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Performing Arts on Tour will present A Festival of (Guitar) Strings on Saturday, March 3, at 7 p.m. in Carver Hall, Kenneth S. Gross Auditorium.

The collaboration is an exclusive Celebrity Artist Series presentation and will include acoustic fingerstyle guitarist Tim Farrell, blues artist Bradley Litwin and the Classical Guitar Trio of Philadelphia. The performers will play rock, folk, blues, ragtime and classical music by favorite composers, along with their own compositions.

The program will feature each performer individually and then playing together and influencing each other’s musical style and interpretation.

Tickets for the show are $15 for adults and $5 for students and children. For more information or to order tickets contact (570) 389-4409. The box office is open Monday thru Friday from noon to 4 p.m.
