BLOOMSBURG — Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania’s radiologist assistant master of science degree program has been recognized by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

The radiologist assistant program is a component of BU’s department of biological and allied health sciences and has approximately six students at any time.

The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists administers certifying examinations for graduates who wish to enter the field. The organization has determined that BU's program is in compliance with ARRT recognition criteria through July 31, 2011, which means that BU graduates will be automatically eligible for the certifying exams.

Bloomsburg University is one of 14 universities in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education. The university serves approximately 8,000 students, offering comprehensive programs of study in the colleges of Professional Studies, Business, Liberal Arts and Science and Technology.
