Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania welcomes speaker Asaf Romirowsky

BLOOMSBURG — The manager of Israel and Middle East affairs for the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia will speak on "Understanding the Israel/Palestinian Conflict" Wednesday, March 18, at 6:30 p.m. in Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania's Warren Student Services Center, room 004. The seminar by Asaf Romirowsky is free and open to the public.

Romirowsky, also an adjunct scholar for Campus Watch, a project of the Middle East Forum, holds a bachelor's degree from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, a master's degree in international relations and Middle East affairs from Villanova University and a master's degree in holocaust and genocide studies from West Chester University.

Currently, Romirowsky is a doctoral candidate at King's College, London, and is focusing on the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian refugees in the Near East. A former Israel Defense Force (IDF) International Relations liaison officer, Romirowsky serves as an IDF officer to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Romirowsky has published numerous scholarly journal articles, magazine features and newspaper commentary in the New York Post, Washington Times and other publications.
