BLOOMSBURG — “Family Heirlooms and Other Artifacts,” an exhibit by artist Alison Stehlik, will be featured in Bloomsburg University’s Haas Gallery of Art from Nov. 2 to 30. The exhibit is open to the public free of charge Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturdays from noon to 2 p.m. and will be closed Nov. 25 to 27 for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Stehlik’s art mainly takes the form of sculptures and object-based installations, based on her interest in the human identity. “I explore this through the process of making dolls,” she said. “The series of baby-doll sculptures that dominate ... illustrate the completion of a body of work that explores an imaginary ancestral history and children to come."

An opening reception will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 2, from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. and Stehlik will lecture on her works at 11:15 a.m. and 1:15 p.m.
